Angy Wholesale

Please don't share this page or the files <3

So you’re interested in joining the sock market with a collaboration with Angy Paws so you can stock your own exclusive designs? Here’s the run down!

The technical side of it:

The mission is to come up with a great design that translate well to socks.

Along the way, I will be happy to provide guidance to make sure your design works in the medium

The challenges with socks as a medium are:

- Simplicity works better than detail.  Use thick outlines etc.

- Maximum of 5 colours, cannot do gradients.

- the design joins at the back, so consider how you will make the design tile horizontally.

- It's important to take horizontal stretch into account and be aware that the higher up the sock, the more the design will stretch, so any detail like text is better placed lower.

One of the 5 colours used will be used on the sole of the socks also. On our core range we have a black sole, but in order to give you an extra colour, we relax our branding guidelines, instead we use the darkest colour from your design for the sole.

We offer Arm Warmers as well as Knee High socks and Thigh High socks.
Each of these styles have their own template files to work with.

Need some examples?

Outer examples are the working files which are then inserted into the mock ups (centre).

The icky money side of it:

As a wholesaler, you get a special cost price far below the retail price which will give you plenty of scope for profit.

Arm Warmers = USD$10/pr
Knee Socks = USD$10/pr
Thigh Socks = USD$12/pr

The Minimum order quantity is 100 pairs / design / style.

On top, there is a one-off sample charge of USD$60 for each design/style
Photos of the samples are provided for approval before the production run starts.  If preferred, the sample can be posted to you so you can see them in person (freight charge applies).

Shipping is included in the base price.

EXAMPLE ORDER:
So if you wanted arm warmers and knee socks in two designs, your minimum would be:
(100pr) Design 1 Arm Warmers = USD$1000
(100pr) Design 1 Knee Socks = USD$1000
(100pr) Design 2 Arm Warmers = USD$1000
(100pr) Design 2 Knee Socks = USD$1000

This initial order would have 4x samples made at USD$240.

Your total for the initial order with photo sample approval would be USD$4240 and subsequent orders would be USD$4000

Post production, the products are packed into bags containing 12pr per bag and then packed into cardboard boxes for shipping.  We ship direct to you from the factory in Hong Kong using DHL and we will provide tracking.

Duty and customs taxes may also be charged on your end. I'd suggest checking with your local customs authority prior to ordering so you know what to expect.

Fun Branding Stuff:

The design has dedicated space for branding on the sole of the socks.  Text can also be added to the cuffs of the socks and arm warmers, but please be aware that this area stretches a lot, so bold text is best.

You are welcome to keep any Angy Paws branding if you prefer to use our great reputation to help encourage sales, but it is not a requirement in any way.

Your branding will have to sample the 5 same colours used in the design and the same detail and colour restrictions do apply.  If your logo is complex, a simpler version may need to be generated.

Packaging will be standard Angy Paws hangsell cards and can be supplied with a small barcode if needed, this is not a retail barcode, but it will scan if your POS uses the same number.  (We use these barcodes in our pop up stores)

What happens if product is faulty?

We stand by the quality of our product, but when you're making a lot of something, sometimes a production error will slip through.  Rest assured that we will refund your cost price for any product that is faulty from the factory.

We encourage you to check over the product before sending it to your customers as we cannot reimburse freight costs if you need to replace product.

Faults include tears in the sock body (that aren't a result of the barb being pulled through), mis-sewn edges & major mistakes in the design.

What isn't considered a fault?

Normal wear and tear is not covered.  Even high quality socks aren't invincible and can't last forever, this includes pilling, tearing, or friction wear.

Tear damage from pulling the packaging barb through the socks isn't covered either, be gentle, it's their first time.  Care cards can be purchased to include with sales, to help educate customers and avoid unpacking damage.

Sometimes, especially on complex designs, there will be an occasional "misprint" where the yarn colour can run over where it's meant to be and into another colour.  This is normal and just part of how they are made.  Colours may vary from batch to batch.  These quirks make this an interesting product to work with and no two socks will truly be identical.
